Ways to
style a basic Kurti
A lot of women who go
to college or work need to stick to a strict dress code and during such times a
kurti comes in very handy. However a kurti is often considered a boring option
but I strongly disagree. A kurti is one staple item of clothing that all women
need to own in her wardrobe because it can be styled in so many different ways.
Here are some ways to style your regular kurtis:
1.
Jack it up:
Just take out your favourite kurti and wear a nice long
jacket/ shrug or even a blazer along with it for a slightly formal look. I
think it looks very effortless and easy and extremely stylish. Also not to
forget we are not violating the strict dress code of the college or our work
place.

2.
Duppata, Please ?
Try teaming up bright colours and different duppatas as an
outfit changer. You can easily borrow a lot of duppatas from your mother’s
closet too. You can easily dress up a plain kurti with a nice grand duppata or
even wear a simple plain duppata for the everyday look.

3.
The Kurta dress
Now when noting works just slip into a kurta that can also be
worn as a dress (Anarkali, long cotton kurtas). Wear it with your favourite earings
and a stylish slipper and yes you are good to go!

4. Denim fusion
This all denim look is very classic
and very street fashionable. This look is specifically for those girls who love
experimenting and incorporating Indian pieces to western outfits. The basic
simple kurtas can be worn with a classic pair of denim jeans and to add that
extra little something even with a denim jacket. This look is surely one of my
favourites becsuse I am obsessed with denim.

5.
Belt with a twist
You can easily wear your Duppata as a vest by belting it up.
This is quite an interesting look and not very common. This look will be a
great way to dress up the simple boring kurtas. Teaming up the right prints and
colours together can be a game changer in this look.
